Cost → hire
This page is for owners comparing price before they hire. Software is one line item. Writing and sending in your voice is another. Email Marketing KC publishes floors for local shops that already have customers. Keep Mailchimp or Klaviyo. Start with the pilot, then hire ongoing work on the agency page.

Most “email marketing pricing” articles talk about the tool: Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, HubSpot. That bill is real. It is not the same as paying someone to write owner-voice emails, clean the list when needed, schedule sends you approve, and track coded orders.
National ecommerce guides often describe retention programs for cart brands. Kansas City flooring, specialty retail, clinics, trades, and professional firms already hold past customers. The cost question is what writing and sending costs once the list exists, not which DTC stack to buy. Fit notes live on industries and areas.
A $99 template and one blast a month rarely books a high-ticket job. That contrast is already on the agency page and homepage. Templates can fill a calendar. They rarely sound like the person who did the work.
Public SERP guides for 2026 often describe agency or managed Klaviyo retainers in the thousands per month for DTC retention. Examples of that framing appear across national pricing essays (Vertical Response, The Email Marketers, BMO Media, YOCTO, Flypost). Those pages are not Kansas City local-shop offers. Treat them as what the search results show, not as Email Marketing KC results.
Floors match live pricing. No invented rate cards. You keep paying for your ESP. The hire is writing and sending.
Same ladder as pricing and the email marketing agency hire page.

Daily emails are phone-only: 8% of list-tied sales with a $6,500 floor, only when that beats weekly and the list is clean. Details on daily emails. Call (816) 300-1791 if that is the conversation. Not the hero CTA on this page.
Best fit is about 500 or more real past customers. A few hundred clean names can work. Twenty thousand dead addresses do not. The email review will say if the list is worth ongoing work.
Not vanity open rates. Apple Mail Privacy Protection often counts an open when nobody read the email. Opens are a soft signal. The scoreboard is replies and booked jobs from people who already paid you. See how it works and unique code tracking.
Work stops if tracking is not in place. That is how the 10% coded-order piece stays fair. Process notes also live on owner emails.
Cheap path: template blasts that rarely book high-ticket work. This shop: published local floors for owner-voice writing and sending, keep your ESP, pilot first. National path: shops that often quote $5,000 to $12,000 and bury the writing inside tools you do not need (same contrast language as the agency page). Named proof on this site stays limited to Work: flooring and epoxy, and an independent running store. See flooring and running stores.
