Why your from-name and footer get cleaned in setup

The from-name is the first thing a customer sees, so Setup makes it a name they know and gives every email an honest footer.

One line in Setup says from-name and footer cleaned. It is a small line. The from-name is still the first thing your customer sees.

Gmail and other inboxes read and sort mail now, and Gmail has AI tools like Gemini on top of that. I do not claim a from-name changes how any of those tools work. I care about the person reading. They should know who wrote before they open it.

The from-name

Your first name plus the business name. Used the same way on every send. Google's sender guidelines say a display name should be a consistent, clear, and accurate statement of who is sending. They also say misuse of display names can affect delivery to personal Gmail accounts.

The footer

  • The real business name.
  • A working way to unsubscribe.
  • How to reach you.

Google says to always give people an easy way to unsubscribe. Senders of more than 5,000 messages a day must also support one-click unsubscribe and show a clear unsubscribe link in the message.

Setup is the first week. It includes the first four emails, a cleaned list, a simple letter template, and this from-name and footer work. I write in your voice. You approve every email before it goes out.
