Send a holiday hours email before Thanksgiving week
A short email before Thanksgiving week tells customers when you are closed, how to reach you for urgent jobs, and when you are back.
Published ยท Updated
If Thanksgiving week changes your hours, your customers will not know unless you tell them. Send one short email before the week starts.
Put these in the email
- Your business name, so nobody wonders who sent it.
- The exact days and hours you are closed or open.
- How to reach you for urgent jobs, with a phone number.
- The day you are back to normal hours.
Type it as plain text
A holiday graphic is fine. Just do not put the hours only inside the image. Type them in the words of the email too.
Google's Gmail Help pages say Gemini in Gmail can summarize emails, and that people can ask questions about their emails. Hours typed as words are there in the text for that. They are also there for a customer scrolling back through their inbox the Friday after, looking for your phone number.
Holiday notes like this are one of the weekly emails we research, write, and send for clients. No drafts get sent to you first. No homework.
To start, see the 4-email pilot on the pricing page or read how it works.
