Make it easy to unsubscribe from your emails
When someone is done hearing from you, a clear unsubscribe link lets them leave quietly. Otherwise they may report your email as spam.

People who are done with you leave in one of two ways: they unsubscribe or they hit the spam button. You want the first one.
For senders of more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts, Google's email sender guidelines require one-click unsubscribe and a clearly visible unsubscribe link in the message body. The same page says spam reports can lower a domain's reputation over time. It asks senders to keep spam rates below 0.10% and never reach 0.30%. Google's sender FAQ recommends honoring unsubscribe requests within 48 hours.
This matters for everyone still on your list. Google's FAQ says more spam reports raise the chance that a sender's future mail goes to spam. Gemini in Gmail can summarize email threads, but only for mail people still get.
The tip
- Put a clear unsubscribe link in every email.
- Honor it right away.
- Send from a name people recognize.
- Keep a steady weekly rhythm.
We set up the footer and unsubscribe link during setup. Then we send one email every week, researched and written from scratch. You get no homework. The guarantee covers the weekly send and that people on your list will open it.
To try it, see the 4-email pilot on the pricing page or read how it works.
