Only email the people who asked to hear from you

Email the customers who gave you their address, never a bought list, and Gmail's own sender guidelines back you up.

Gmail's filters decide where your email lands, and who you send to is part of that.

Google's Gmail sender guidelines say it plainly. People who want your messages are less likely to report them as spam. If messages from your domain are frequently reported as spam, future messages are more likely to be marked as spam. Over time, those reports can lower your domain's reputation.

The tip

If you run a Kansas City business that already has customers, email the customers and subscribers who gave you their address.

  • Get the opt in. Gmail's guidelines say to make sure recipients opt in and to confirm each address before subscribing them.
  • Never buy a list. The guidelines say not to purchase email addresses from other companies.
  • Leave the box unchecked. Avoid sign-up forms that are checked by default. Let the person check it.

Where we come in

We study your industry, offers, customers, and competitors, write every email from scratch, and send one email every week to the list you already have. No drafts to approve. What we guarantee: the weekly send, and that people on your list will open it.

Start with the 4-email pilot, or read how it works.
